Ozone generators are a great tool for the permanent removal of mold and mildew in the home or work place. Removing mold and mildew is easily done by "shocking" the area with a high concentration of Ozone. So high, in fact it is not safe for humans to occupy the same area while it is being treated.
A machine with the capability of producing at least 800 mg per hour of ozone should be selected as a mold and mildew remover. Smaller outputs simply are not going to do the job, unless the mold is confined to a very small area like air conditioning ductwork.

Which ever ozone machine you select, it should be mounted high in the room, on a shelf or on top of a stepladder. Then you can go shopping or to work, or go away for a weekend and let it run for at least 30 hours
Often a mold and mildew treatment starts in the basement. This is usually easy to treat, as it can be shut off from the rest of the home and remain unoccupied while the ozone does its work.
Mold and mildew in other areas of the home, like the bathrooms, need to be treated individually, room by room, with the door shut and of course unoccupied.
Mold can be eliminated gradually if needed. Place the ozone machine in a room, turn it to it's highest settings, shut the door and go shopping or to work.
Then turn off the machine, open a window and let the ozone dissipate for an hour or so. Vacuum the floor to remove the dead mold spores (a Hepa vacuum cleaner is recommended). This is particularly important if you suffer from mold or mildew allergies. You can then use the room as normal while you repeat the process in any other effected rooms.
