Ozone (O3) is a colorless gas with a distinct pungent odor. It is a molecule made up of 3 atoms of oxygen. For best results place the PRO-4 on the vehicle's dashboard and run an extension cord through the window to the nearest AC outlet. Turning on the heating or air conditioning system allows the ductwork to be cleaned in the process. When treating motel rooms or apartments set the PRO-4 on a shelf, refrigerator or stepladder; ozone is heavier than air so it will migrate to the floor. A quick ozone shock treatment of a vacant rental can be a real cost saver. It can turn a smoking room into non-smoking, and permanently eliminate cleaning, painting and pet odors.
For continuous operation, turn the timer knob counter clockwise to the Hold position. For timed operation, turn the dial clockwise to select up to 12 hours of run time. Switch on the PRO-4 and adjust the round dial to the preferred output level. Fully clockwise gives the maximum output. Stay out of the room or vehicle during this treatment. At the end of the elapsed time open all doors and windows and let the ozone dissipate. If stubborn odors persist, repeat the process. Operate only on low when deodorizing a home, shop, or office that is occupied by people or animals.
A small input filter is supplied with every unit and simply needs to be washed occasionally. The ceramic plates inside the ozone generator should be cleaned with soap and water every two months or whenever there is a noticeable drop in ozone output. The plates need to be replaced every two years or when the output no longer recovers to the original level after cleaning. The housing is made completely from stainless steel for maximum durability.
